Residents and businesses are being invited to help shape the potential future Point Cook Road and Central Avenue Intersection Upgrade.
From 13 March to 2 April 2023, MRPV is seeking feedback from the community to help inform planning for the potential future upgrade, which would help reduce travel times, improve safety, and cater for population growth and increased vehicle movements.
The information will be used to better understand how the community and local businesses currently use the roundabout and connecting roads, with views sought on safety and traffic flow and what should be considered during the planning process.
The planning work will provide a clear picture of the area, and allow us to understand environmental and social impacts, develop design options, and confirm scope and costs of different options.
A Business Case is currently being developed and is expected to be complete in late 2023.
To help inform our planning, roadside technical investigations will be undertaken from March 2023.
At times during the investigations, traffic control measures may be implemented, including temporary lane closures, stop/slow traffic and reduced speeds. Traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, and busy periods will be avoided.
