The Eastern Freeway Upgrades Tram to Springvale Alliance (TSA) recently raised more than $2,600 for the Blackburn North Neighborhood House through the Community Give Back Hoodie initiative.
The specialty hoodies were designed by TSA to promote team cohesion across all 3 construction compounds, with all proceeds donated to the Blackburn North Neighborhood House.
Blackburn North Neighborhood House is a community group located close to the Joseph Street Project Site Office and was chosen for their dedication to the local community.
The group is supported by a strong network of volunteers and coordinates a wide range of programs that brings together around 350 community members each week, delivering a range of activities including creative workshops, social groups and activities around shared interests such as crafts, music and board games.
These programs span all stages of life — from playgroups for young families to exercise classes, walking groups and digital skills sessions for older adults.
Like many neighbourhood houses, Blackburn North relies on a mix of government funding and community contributions to continue delivering low-cost, accessible programs for local residents.
The TSA Community Give Back donation will help Blackburn North Neighborhood House to continue creating opportunities for people to connect and build relationships within the community.
TSA is proud to support local organisations and the local community as we continue to deliver critical upgrades to the Eastern Freeway.
