Applications are now open for the second round of the West Gate Neighbourhood Fund Partnerships, which will help bring people together and support Melbourne’s inner west while the West Gate Tunnel Project is being built.
For the first time we are also seeking applications for grants of up to $100,000 for local sport groups, scout clubs and girl guides in our inaugural round of Active Community Grants.
So far more than $7million in grants and partnerships has been awarded.
What we’re looking for
Partnerships applications
We are looking for projects that create greater participation of community members, celebrate heritage, history or diversity, focus on arts and culture, or emphasise learning and development. Projects should provide a significant and lasting outcome.
Applications are invited from incorporated not-for-profit community organisations with ideas that benefit people in the Hobsons Bay and Maribyrnong City Council areas.
Active Community Grant applications
For the first time, applications are invited from local sport groups, scout clubs and girl guides that currently serve local communities in the Hobsons City Council and Maribyrnong City Council areas for the inaugural round of Active Community Grants.
These organisations can be based in the Maribyrnong City Council or Hobsons Bay City Council, or conduct activities that benefit members of these communities
We are looking for projects that
- support community participation in sport and recreational activities.
- increase community participation in sport and recreational activities.
- improve quality, usability and accessibility of community sport and recreational facilities in order to increase community participation in sporting and recreational activities.
Applications close 3pm, 1 August 2023.
