Latest round of West Gate Neighbourhood Fund now open for applications

Back to Newsfeed

Applications are now open for the latest round of the West Gate Neighbourhood Fund, which will help bring people together and support Melbourne’s inner west while the West Gate Tunnel Project is being built.

The West Gate Neighbourhood Fund is now accepting applications for both grants up to $20,000 and partnerships for larger infrastructure projects over $50,000.

Incorporated non-for-profit groups that are based, or operate, within the Hobsons Bay and Maribyrnong council areas are encouraged to apply for this last round of funding.

We are looking for projects that celebrate heritage, history or diversity, focus on arts and culture or sport and recreation, emphasise learning and development, or enable greater participation of community members. Applications are also sought for infrastructure improvement on community spaces that are ready to kick off and will provide a lasting legacy for the community.

All projects need to be delivered before June 30, 2025.

The Fund has so far invested more than $8.5 million to support community projects including transforming Williamstown Jetty, South Kingsville Community Centre and GJ Hosken Reserve in Altona North, and bringing the community together over a shared love of skateboarding and dancing in Footscray.

Check out some of these successfully funded projects on our success stories webpage.
