Plan ahead: Autumn construction blitz in the west

The west is set to be a hive of construction activity as works ramp up along the West Gate Freeway for the West Gate Tunnel Project.

Drivers travelling on the West Gate Freeway and on local roads in the inner west are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

Works and traffic disruptions include:Full weekend Williamstown Road city-bound exit ramp closures

Fogarty Avenue - Ongoing works until November 2019

There is overhead power line relocation and new drainage installation currently underway along Fogarty Avenue.

Local road closures are needed to carry out this work.

We will also need to temporarily close the Muir Street / Fogarty Avenue pedestrian bridge.West Gate Freeway city-bound closure

We are replacing bridge bearings on the West Gate Freeway over Williamstown Road.

To do this work we will need to close Williamstown Road in both directions and the West Gate Freeway city bound for two nights in early April.Ongoing widening works along the West Gate Freeway

A reminder these works are taking place between the M80 Ring Road to Williamstown Road.
