All three level crossings at Corrigan, Heatherton and Chandler roads are now removed and trains are running on the elevated structure.

This morning the first passenger train stopped off at the new Noble Park Station, marking the start of a new era for Noble Park commuters.

The new station sits at the centre of a 1.5 kilometre stretch of raised track that is now taking trains over Corrigan, Heatherton and Chandler roads.

The next phase will see some final works on the brand new station continue over coming months to finish off interior fittings and ground level buildings including a modern waiting room and toilets.

More than 275 trains, including Metro, V/Line and freight services, will run along the new elevated tracks each day.
