The Victorian Government is calling for expressions of interest to build the biggest road project in the State’s history

The North East Link will connect Melbourne’s freeway network from the Eastern Freeway, from Springvale Road to the M80 Ring Road.

The early works package involves $200 million in works, to be signed near the end of 2019.

The primary works package to build the tunnels is worth $7-9 billion. The entire procurement process will take more than a year and a half to complete.

Construction is expected to start in 2020, once environmental and planning approvals are in place.
