The boom gates in Lyndhurst have been lifted and cleared away as the part of the removal of the Thompsons Road level crossing.

A 3,200-tonne bridge has been constructed on Thompsons Road, allowing the 26,000 vehicles that use the road each day to safely travel over the Cranbourne railway line.

Check out this video to see how crews removed the Thompsons Road level crossing.
