All remaining level crossings along the Dandenong corridor will be removed during major works from 29 May to 17 June.

The level crossings at Murrumbeena Road, Grange Road, Poath Road and Koornang Road will soon be gone for good.

Buses will replace trains on sections of the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines while construction takes place. On Monday 18 June, trains will run on the newly constructed, and final, section of elevated rail in the corridor.

Commuters travelling between Dandenong and the city will then benefit from extended turn-up-and-go services every ten minutes, from 7pm to 10pm each night.

Two new stations at Murrumbeena and Carnegie will open at the same time, while Hughesdale station is due to open later this year.

Visit our disruptions map over the coming weeks for further details regarding buses replacing trains on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines.

Happy construction workers hold up railway crossing signs.
