There will be changes to the way motorists turn right at Punt Road and Swan Street on 17 March.

The new design will move right turns away from the intersection, helping to relieve queuing caused by turning traffic.

The concept is an innovative way to manage high traffic volumes and move people safely and efficiently across the busy Richmond intersection.

To turn right from:

  • Punt Road to Olympic Boulevard: use the new dedicated right turn lane
  • Swan Street to Punt Road: use the p-turn after the Punt Road intersection
  • Punt Road to Swan Street: turn left onto Olympic Boulevard and then right onto the p-turn.

Drivers will no longer be able to turn right from Olympic Boulevard to Punt Road.

Watch the video below to see how the new intersection works.
