The Shepparton Line Upgrade will deliver nearly $45 million worth of improvements including stabling upgrades, a crossing loop and extra coach services.

The project will upgrade the stabling at Shepparton Station so that more trains can be kept on site, to enable an additional return service to run each day. A new crossing loop on the line will allow trains more opportunities to pass each other and recover quicker from disruptions.

There will also be 29 extra coach services being introduced from mid-2018 running between Seymour and Shepparton.

Site investigations on the Shepparton Line Upgrade will begin in the next few weeks and is part of the wider Regional Rail Revival program that will upgrade every regional passenger train line in Victoria.
