Overview
Planning is underway for a future upgrade of the Ballan Road and Armstrong Road intersection in Wyndham Vale, to improve safety, reduce travel times and increase road capacity.

Planning
Planning work is underway and key activities include:
- developing a project design
- detailed traffic analysis and modelling, to better understand the future growth of the area and the demand this will place on the road network
- environmental investigations to understand flora, fauna and tree species.
Initial planning will be complete in late 2027 and will be used to inform government decisions on future funding.
Site investigations
To help inform planning, a range of site assessments will be undertaken. At times, traffic management may be required, including lane closures, stop/slow traffic and reduced speeds. Disruption will be minimised and busy periods will be avoided.
