Planning and development

Planning work is underway and key activities include:

  • traffic analysis and modelling, to better understand the future growth of the area and the demand this will place on the road network
  • engineering and environmental investigations
  • developing a design.

Our initial planning work will be complete in 2027 and will be used to inform government decisions on future funding.

Site investigations

To help inform our planning, a range of site investigations will be undertaken. At times, we may need to implement traffic control measures, including temporary lane closures, stop/slow traffic and reduced speeds. We’ll keep traffic disruption to a minimum and avoid busy periods, where possible.

Come and meet the team

Drop in any time to have a chat to the project team, provide your feedback or ask a question about the upgrade. We’ll be in the area:

  • Saturday 28 March - 10am to 3pm, McAdam Square Shops, 44 McAdam Square, Croydon VIC 3136.
