Overview
We’re planning for a future upgrade of the Maroondah Highway and Yarra Road intersection in Croydon North to ease congestion and improve safety and pedestrian access.
Project map
Planning and development
Planning work is underway and key activities include:
- traffic analysis and modelling, to better understand the future growth of the area and the demand this will place on the road network
- engineering and environmental investigations
- developing a design.
Our initial planning work will be complete in 2027 and will be used to inform government decisions on future funding.
Site investigations
To help inform our planning, a range of site investigations will be undertaken. At times, we may need to implement traffic control measures, including temporary lane closures, stop/slow traffic and reduced speeds. We’ll keep traffic disruption to a minimum and avoid busy periods, where possible.
Come and meet the team
