As part of the Summer Start, the Metro Tunnel and the 5 new stations will open in early December.
When the Metro Tunnel opens, additional services will run between West Footscray (Sunbury Line) to Westall (Cranbourne and Pakenham Line) seven days a week.
- Monday to Friday – services every 20 minutes from 10.00am until 3:00pm between Westall and West Footscray
- Weekends – services every 20 minutes from 10.00am until 7.00pm between Westall and West Footscray, every 40 minutes from East Pakenham, and every 60 minutes from Sunbury.
The existing timetable will continue as normal, with those trains running through the City Loop during this time. Passengers can connect to the Metro Tunnel at interchange locations, including Footscray and Caulfield stations. Use our interactive map to see where to change trains.
The timetable for these extra services will be available for passengers to plan their journeys on the Transport Victoria website prior to their introduction.
