Tour 1
Alex Fraser Sustainable Supply Hub
Alex Fraser's Northern Sustainable Supply Hub showcases their asphalt and recycling operations and sustainable supply offerings.
Combining a C&D recycling facility, and recently commissioned rock crushing plant, 'The Hub' recycles hundreds of thousands of tonnes of concrete, asphalt, plastic and glass a year to produce Green Roads Construction Materials, reducing landfill, reducing carbon emissions and preserving natural resources.
Keon Parade 'Recycled First precinct'
At the Keon Parade 'Recycled First precinct', you can expect to see the outcomes of the 'Recycled First Competition', an innovative initiative developed by the North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) and supported by ecologiQ, aimed at promoting sustainability in infrastructure by driving significant economic value for the circular economy.
This site tour will showcase extensive application of recycled products in the urban realm, including new applications of geopolymer, recycled plastic aggregates, recycled plastic void formers, recycled glass and repurposed timber.
Tour 2
Repurpose It
Repurpose It are industry leaders in making premium quality repurposed recycled materials, diverting millions of tonnes of waste from landfill. Their mission is to eliminate waste and pollution through closed-loop recovery.
Visiting this state-of-the-art facility, participants will see Australian first technology including the country's first soil wash plant, an advanced organics processing facility including decontamination hall, in-vessel composting tunnels and open windrow composting, and crushing and blending operations.

Site compounds, a low risk environment, are an excellent opportunity for projects seeking to foster a culture of experimentation and innovation to push the boundaries of what's possible with recycled materials and reduce environmental footprint. They are also an essential step in assisting suppliers to achieve their ultimate goal of having a commercialised product approved by the relevant authority.
