ecologiQ is building supply chain capability for the recycled and reused material market by making connections, removing barriers and supporting suppliers to get innovative products into trials.

Our networking events are helping drive innovation and collaboration across the industry, with ecologiQ’s buyer/supplier exchanges helping connect contractors to the recycled supply chain and giving suppliers an understanding of project needs.

Recycled material suppliers are using our Innovation Showcase series as a platform to pitch their emerging products and gain the attention of key government decision makers as well as receive feedback. You can watch our previous Innovation Showcase events on ecologiQ YouTube channel.

We’re also linking suppliers to potential funding and grants at a state and federal level and helping them seek technical support and validation of products and application as well as progress discussions around standards and specifications.

Innovation

ecologiQ is working with industry partners to further the research, development and validation of innovation applications and Victorian end markets for recycled and reused materials.

We provide the scaffolding for suppliers to pursue commercialisation pathways and get emerging recycled products from paper into transport projects.

ecologiQ’s innovation agenda also involves developing new standards and specifications and building industry capability for the use of priority materials in new applications, such as

• recycled plastic products in noise walls
• composite sleepers
• drainage pipes
• asphalt and crumb rubber on heavily trafficked roads.

We’ll also focus on recycled organics for landscaping, ballast reuse, concrete innovation, textiles, crushed glass fines and recycled materials in carparks, shared use paths and permeable pavements.
