7 December 2023

We’re removing level crossings at Dublin Road, Ringwood East and Bedford Road, Ringwood, in 2024, one year ahead of schedule.

We’ll also build a brand-new Ringwood East Station that will feature a main concourse and second entry, which will be open by spring 2024.

The new station will create safer and more direct links between the Ringwood East shopping precinct, public transport and upgraded parking.

We’ve now put the finishing touches on our landscaping designs for Bedford Road and Dublin Road, where we’ll plant a mix of around 60,000 native plants in the new open spaces to support the natural environment.

We’ve chosen to plant a variety of eucalyptus, wattle, correa and brush box among other native trees, shrubs and grasses to support Victoria’s biodiversity and attract native wildlife and pollinators.

The Dublin Road and Ringwood East Station map shows the location and some artist impressions of:

  • level crossing free Dublin Road
  • new landscaping plans
  • new rail trench under Dublin Road
  • entrances, lifts and stairs to the new station
  • new and existing pedestrian paths through the precinct
  • car parking and pick up and drop off areas
  • bus stops
