Planning is progressing on the upgrades at Ballarat Station to improve accessibility, safety and connectivity for all public transport users, while considering the heritage of the station.

We’re building an accessible pedestrian overpass, with a passenger lift and stairs on each platform. We’re also improving access to the existing northern station entrance with a new ramp, stairs and automatic door.

In June 2024, we released the early concept designs for the Ballarat Station Upgrade.

Over the following 4 week engagement period, we asked you to view the concept designs and share your preferences, insights and feedback on the project via our community survey.

We received over 730 survey responses. Your feedback is helping inform aspects of the final designs for the project, which will be released in the coming weeks.
