We’re upgrading Ballarat Station to improve accessibility, safety, and connectivity for all public transport users, while considering the heritage of the station.

We’re committed to delivering an accessible pedestrian overpass, with a lift and stairs to each platform, and an upgrade to the northern station entrance in 2026.

We’re undertaking early works in January 2025, to prepare for major construction to start soon afterwards.

The Ballarat Station Upgrade final designs are now available to view at Engage Victoria where you can also ask a question and book to attend one of our online or in-person information sessions.
