16 January 2025
We’re making the Sunbury Line level crossing free in 2025, a year ahead of schedule, removing 8 dangerous and congested level crossings to improve safety, reduce congestion and run more trains, more often.
What we’re doing
In February, we’ll continue to:
- construct the foundations for the new road bridge and shared use path
- relocate and install essential services, including drainage and public lighting
- install concrete bridge barriers, road kerb and guardrail along the new bridge
What to expect
- Out of hours works will be required during the month of February. We will contact impacted properties ahead of works with more information.
- To safely relocate existing services including public lighting, there will be a pedestrian detour on the corner of Calder Park Drive and Manchester Drive at times until late 2025.
- Traffic management will be in place, including lane closures and reduced speed limits at times.
- Increased construction noise, light and machinery in the area.
- Our general working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm and Saturday 7am to 5pm.
