The level crossing at Calder Park Drive, Calder Park will be removed by building a new road bridge over the rail line.
Removing the level crossing will improve traffic flow in the area, which means we can close the nearby level crossing at Holden Road.
Major construction is continuing, with the north beams recently installed and works on the new shared path underway.
Planned timeline
The Calder Park Drive and Holden Road boom gates will be gone for good in 2025.
Removing these level crossings will help make the Sunbury Line level crossing free in 2025.
