We're making the Sunbury Line level crossing free by 2025, removing 8 dangerous and congested level crossings to improve safety, reduce congestion and run more trains, more often, these include:
- Calder Park Drive, Calder Park
- Holden Road, Calder Park (closure)
The level crossing at Calder Park Drive in Calder Park will be removed by building a new road bridge over the rail line.
This preferred design means we can get rid of the crossing sooner and will be less disruptive for road and rail users during construction.
We've released updated designs for the new road bridge at Calder Park Drive, shaped by community feedback. We thank everyone for their input.
Early works will start in mid 2023 with the Calder Park Drive and Holden Road boom gates gone for good by 2025.
