We're removing 110 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne by 2030.

While we'd love to remove all of the level crossings around Melbourne, we need to focus on the 110 we've been tasked with removing.

A number of factors are considered when selecting level crossings for removal, including safety, congestion, how level crossings divide communities and restrict access to local facilities, and the efficiency in removing level crossings together.

Many items are reused elsewhere on the network however there are some instances where equipment is available for heritage groups and the community.

Please note, there is no guarantee that equipment will be made available to the public.
