Your new Albion Station
A brand-new, modern and safer Albion Station will improve access and passenger connections to the new Sunshine Station Superhub.
Funded by the Victorian Government, works to build a new Albion Station will get underway while we work to build the Sunshine Station Superhub - reducing disruptions for passengers.
The new superhub at Sunshine Station will pave the way for a future rail line to Melbourne Airport and an electrified line to Melton.
Two new platforms will unlock more capacity for additional services to the growing communities of Melton and Wyndham Vale.
Works will span more than 6km from West Footscray to Albion to untangle Melbourne's most complex rail junction outside the CBD, unlocking capacity for more than 40 trains an hour to travel through Sunshine.
With Albion Station just one stop away from the new superhub, passengers will have improved connections to more metro and regional services. Planning for your new station is underway with construction to commence in 2027.
