Arden Station will be at the centre of a new employment and innovation precinct that will be home to 34,000 jobs and 20,000 residents.
The station, near the corner of Arden and Laurens streets in North Melbourne, will be a sustainable transport hub just a few minutes’ walk from the North Melbourne Recreation Centre, Arden Street Oval and the Route 57 tram.
The station is designed for pedestrian safety, with a dedicated crossing on Laurens Street, dropoff zones and taxi bays, and more than 120 bike parking spaces.
Arden Station features a massive brick-lined arched entrance inspired by North Melbourne’s industrial history, and 125kW of rooftop solar panels to help power lighting, ventilation, escalators and lifts.
