Parkville Station will provide train access for the first time to Victoria’s world-renowned education, health and research precinct and relieve pressure on local trams and roads.
The station’s main entrance will feature a 50m-long steel and glass canopy and light wells, filling the underground station with natural light.
Parkville Station is under Grattan Street between Royal Parade and Leicester Street, with 2 entrances on Grattan Street outside The University of Melbourne – one at the corner of Royal Parade and one opposite Barry Street.
The station will include a pedestrian walkway underneath Royal Parade that will take passengers to two more entrances – one outside the Royal Melbourne Hospital and one outside Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
