The Business and Employee counselling service is a complimentary, professional counselling service available to business owners and their staff who are experiencing difficulties as a result of the North East Link Project.

The counselling service can support you to discuss work, life or any personal issues in a safe environment with highly-qualified psychologists, counsellors and social workers.

How can counselling help?

Counselling can help you and your staff for emotional and situational issues, including:

  • personal challenges
  • relationship issues
  • changes in your job or workplace
  • changes to your business
  • changes to your home situation.

It also provides counselling for a range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and other disorders.

Where does counselling take place?

All support is strictly confidential and is available at no cost to you. Counselling can take place over the phone or face-to-face at one of New View Psychology’s locations around Victoria and nationally. A list of locations can be found online at New View Psychology.

Out of hours appointments and home visits are available in exceptional circumstances.

Who are the counsellors?

North East Link Project has engaged New View Psychology to deliver this service. New View Psychology employ a network of over 150 highly qualified and experienced mental health practitioners, both male and female.

They provide support on a strictly confidential basis.

Who pays for the service?

North East Link Project will cover counselling costs to business owners, employees and their immediate families.

How many counselling sessions can I receive?

Each household who receives counselling is entitled to up to six one-hour sessions. Should the mental health professional feel it clinically appropriate, the number of sessions may be extended.

What language are the sessions in?

Counselling sessions are primarily conducted in English but New View Psychology have mental health practitioners who can speak Italian, Greek, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Hindi, Bangla and Cantonese. They can arrange for an interpreter if needed.
