Veneto Club’s soccer field is being upgraded as part of a $68 million investment in local sporting facilities while we build North East Link.

North East Link will connect the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway – finally fixing the missing link in Melbourne’s road network.

We’ve worked closely with the Veneto Club to develop a masterplan for the site to upgrade existing facilities in order to provide more capacity for FC Bulleen Lions.

Upgrades include:

  • new synthetic soccer pitch to increase capacity for training and games
  • new pitch lighting
  • behind goal and boundary fencing
  • an expansion and upgrade of the club change rooms.

FC Bulleen Lions will also be able to train and play games at the proposed Templestowe Road Soccer Facilities once built.

Construction at the Veneto Club is now underway and will be finished in early 2021 before works on North East Link begin at Bulleen Park.

If you’re in the area, you may notice signage, fencing and machinery in and around the construction site. These works are not expected to impact other Veneto Club facilities.
