We’re building a new Bulleen Road to create the space needed to build the new Yarra Link Green Bridge and tunnel entrance, which will connect to the Eastern Freeway.

What are the changes to Bulleen Park Access Road?

We need to shift the existing Bulleen Park Access Road to safely connect it to the new Bulleen Road.

Bulleen Park Access Road will be moved slightly to the north of the existing entrance.

When will the work take place?

Works on Bulleen Park Access Road are underway and will continue during the day and night, with the new access road opening in mid August.

How will I access Bulleen Park during these works?

There will be some changes to the way you access Bulleen Park by vehicle and on foot. Access will be maintained throughout the works and traffic management will be in place to guide you through the area. Please follow all signs and directions for your safety.

How long will construction on the new Bulleen Road take?

Works are underway which include moving utilities while we build new traffic lanes behind barriers.

The new Bulleen Road will open in late 2023.

What are the benefits?

North East Link will connect the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing travel times, adding 7km of new walking and cycling paths and removing more than 14,000 vehicles from Bulleen Road.

By building the new Bulleen Road now, we’ll ensure that the road stays open as works progress.
