Works are underway in Clayton to deliver SRL East for Melbourne and Victoria.

Due to extensive property damage caused by fire, works will be undertaken at 297 Clayton Road, Clayton.

These works will be carried out from early-December for approximately 3 weeks.

These works will be undertaken during normal day-time working hours only.

Day time working hours

• 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
• 7am to 1pm, Saturday

297 Clayton Road: Early December for up to 3 weeks

• Installation of security fencing around the perimeter
• Removal of trees and vegetation
• Demolition of the existing building
• Safe removal of hazardous materials
• Removal of building materials
• Excavation and earthworks to clear and level the area
• These works may generate dust, noise and vibration

Local traffic changes

• Increased truck movements
• Minor traffic delays, including intermittent lane closures
• Localised pedestrian detours around the works site
• Changed traffic conditions on rear access lane way.

How we will manage our works

• Scheduling works to minimise impacts
• Monitoring air quality
• Using water trucks and dust suppressants where required
• Covering truck loads when transporting materials from site to minimise dust
• Positioning equipment as far as possible from businesses and turning it off when not in use.

Noise impacts

As with all major infrastructure projects, surrounding communities may experience some impacts during construction. The project will work with businesses and residents to reduce impacts and provide support when needed. Local traffic changes

Traffic changes are needed to complete these works. Vehicle and pedestrian access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times, with help from traffic controllers when required. Please see the table and map below for details of traffic changes in the area.
