Works are underway in Glen Waverley to deliver SRL East for Melbourne and Victoria

Site investigations are needed in the Glen Waverley precinct to locate and measure underground utility services and assess ground conditions. Data from these investigations inform the project’s final design, planning and construction methods.

We're building a temporary site compound at 50 Montclair Avenue to work from, store materials and support future construction activities for SRL East. Fencing will be installed to secure the site before further construction commences later this year.

These works will be carried out in stages from September for up to three months.

These works will be undertaken during day-time working hours only.

Daytime working hours

• 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
• 7am to 1 pm, Saturday

50 Monclair Avenue (Temporary site compound) From mid-September

• Preparing to establish a temporary site compound within the vacant block
• Temporary footpath closure for up to two days
• Installation of temporary fencing to secure the site
• These works may generate low levels of noise at times.

Euneva West Car Park

From late-September for up to 12 weeks

• Site investigations in the southern section of the Euneva West car park
• Closure of up to 40 parking spaces intermittently
• These works may generate medium levels of noise at times.

How we will manage our works

We will minimise impacts to the community by:

• Positioning equipment as far as possible from residents and businesses
• Turning equipment off when not in use
• Applying water during cutting and drilling if required
• Coordinating disruptions with other construction in the area
• Reinstating the car park surface
• Maintaining access to homes, businesses, remaining parking spaces and roads at all times.

Future works

Further details will be provided about construction activities required to build the temporary site compound in coming weeks. Utility relocation works will follow later in 2023 and 2024. We will provide notification of these works when details are confirmed.
