Works are continuing in Glen Waverley to deliver SRL East for Melbourne and Victoria, including a new underground train station connected to the existing station.

We’re moving utilities on Coleman Parade in 2024.

We're also establishing a work site along Myrtle Street, between Coleman Parade and Montclair Avenue, to prepare for road realignment works. This will include installing fencing and timber hoarding, tree removal, levelling the ground and demolishing existing structures.

Works will begin on Coleman Parade and Myrtle Street from early March and will be carried out in stages, with ongoing road closures throughout 2024.

These works will be undertaken during day-time hours, with some night works required. Residents and traders will be notified of night works ahead of time.

How we will manage our works

  • We will minimise impacts to the community by:
  • Positioning equipment as far as possible from residents and businesses and turning off when not in use
  • Implementing measures to minimise noise, dust and vibration impacts, including applying water during cutting and drilling, and street sweeping
  • Monitoring noise, dust and vibration levels
  • Coordinating disruptions with other construction in the area
  • Installing road safety and detour signage.

Impacts

As with all major infrastructure projects, surrounding communities may experience some impacts during construction. The project will support businesses and residents to ensure people can continue to live, work, study and shop in their local community. Please contact us on 1800 105 105 to discuss support available if you are impacted by our works
