Works are underway in Heatherton to deliver Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East for Melbourne and Victoria.

These works include site investigations, moving underground services, earthworks, safe removal of hazardous materials, demolition of existing buildings and construction of a tunnel access structure.

Works will be primarily undertaken during extended day-time working hours (with approvals in place).

All timings are weather permitting.

217 Kingston Road

March:

• Earthworks and piling for the Network Support Facility
• Ongoing safe removal of hazardous material
• Ongoing construction of the tunnel access structure
• Tree removal west of Dingley Bypass
• Connecting underground services to the site.

171– 175 and 172–176 Old Dandenong Road,

Ongoing until mid-April:

• Demolition of existing buildings
• Safe removal of hazardous materials.

150-170 Old Dandenong Road

From Early March to Early April:

• Site investigations to locate underground services and assess ground conditions
• Earthworks to prepare the site.

Old Dandenong Road

Ongoing until late-March:

• Site investigations to locate underground services and assess ground conditions
• Overnight works for up to four nights to remove traffic barriers.

Dingley Bypass

Mid-March for up to four nights:

• Placement of concrete barriers
• Overnight works to install traffic barriers

Traffic Changes

Traffic changes are needed to complete these works. Detours and reduced speed limits will be in place. Please follow all traffic signage. Vehicle and pedestrian access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times. Please see the table and maps for details of traffic changes in the area.
