Works are underway in Monash to deliver SRL East for Melbourne and Victoria.

We’re establishing the site at the location of the SRL East station at Monash.

This will involve establishing a temporary site compound for worker amenities at 20-24 Howleys Road.

These works will be carried out from mid-October for up to 6 weeks.

These works will be undertaken during day-time working hours.

Day-time working hours

• 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
• 7am to 1pm, Saturday

20-24 Howleys Road

• From mid-October for up to 6 weeks
• Installation of temporary site facilities for project staff.

Local traffic changes

• During the installation, residents in the area may experience intermittent pedestrian detours and minor traffic delays.
• Traffic changes are needed to complete these works. Vehicle and pedestrian access to businesses will be maintained at all times with help from traffic controllers when required.

How we will manage our works

These works may generate low levels of noise.

We will minimise impacts to the community by:

• Scheduling works to minimise impacts.
• Positioning equipment as far as possible from businesses and turning it off when not in use.

Optus works – Howleys Road and Normanby Road

• Optus will be removing redundant telecommunications infrastructure in the coming months.
• Optus may provide further information about timing, any impacts in your area and how to contact them about their works.

Future works

Demolition of the existing building at 20-24 Howleys Road will be undertaken after the completion of these works. We will provide further details about what to expect in the coming months.
