Works are underway in Burwood to deliver Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East for Melbourne and Victoria.

What we are doing


24 hour works: Monday to Saturday

The following works will be carried out during December and January.

There are no SRL works during the holiday period from Saturday 20 December to Tuesday 13 January 2026.

Traffic disruptions are subject to change due to conditions outside our control.

Impacts

As with all major infrastructure projects, surrounding communities may experience some impacts during construction. The Project supports businesses and residents to continue to live, work, study and shop in their community.

How we will manage our works

We will minimise impacts to community by:

  • Maintaining access to businesses and homes
  • Transporting materials from site in covered trucks to minimise dust
  • Installing road safety and detour signage
  • Positioning light towers away from properties
  • Monitoring noise, dust and vibration levels
  • Using water and dust suppressants.
