Impacts

As with all major infrastructure projects, surrounding communities may experience some impacts during construction.
The Project supports businesses and residents to continue to live, work, study and shop in their community. Clayton shopping precinct remains open and accessible throughout these works.

Please contact us on 1800 105 105 to discuss support available if you are impacted by our works.

Truck and heavy vehicle movements

There will be increased truck movements in the area as we continue to excavate the future station site, remove soil and deliver large equipment to the Clayton worksite. Soil removed from site will be safely transported to disposal locations in line with project and Environmental Protection Authority requirements.

How we will manage our works

  • Maintaining access for emergency vehicles and buses at all times
  • Maintaining access to homes and businesses
  • Transporting materials from site in covered trucks to minimise dust
  • Using water and dust suppressants
  • Installing road safety and detour signage
  • Pedestrian and cyclist detours in place.
