Works are underway in Monash to deliver Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East for Melbourne and Victoria.

Day works 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 1pm Saturday
Night works 6pm to 7am Monday to Sunday
Extended Works 1pm to 6pm Saturday and 7am to 6pm Sunday

Impacts

As with all major infrastructure projects, surrounding communities may experience some impacts during construction. The Project supports businesses and residents to continue to live, work, study and shop in their community.

How we will manage our works

We will minimise impacts to the community by:

  • Maintaining access to businesses during businesses hours, with help from traffic controllers where required
  • Staging works along Howleys Road and Normanby Road to minimise traffic disruption
  • Installing road safety and detour signage
  • Notifying bus stop disruptions at the impacted stops ahead of time
  • Transporting materials from site in covered trucks to minimise dust
  • Positioning equipment as far as possible from businesses and residents and turning it off when not in use
  • Safely removing hazardous materials in accordance with regulations
  • Monitoring noise, dust and vibration levels.
