Please be advised that the dates for this set of works has been extended to Tuesday 13 June 2023. Inclement weather and general interuptions have caused a delay in the work schedule.
Additional out of hours work is required to successfully complete this set of early works. There will be no changes to the expected noise or vibration levels experienced by nearby residents. General works within the area are anticipated to occur intermittently until the end of 2023 - we will provide prior notice should there be any impactful works.
As always, if the weather is poor, or there are any unexpected impacts, we may need to reschedule these works.

Demolishing segments of the pedestrian footpath along Dynon Road Bridge
The West Gate Tunnel Project is beginning important construction along the Dynon Road Bridge vicinity mid-May. This work is crucial to facilitate and strengthen the bridge’s widening, which will ultimately create a safer path separating vehicles from people traveling along Dynon Road to North Melbourne.
What to expect and when
From Monday 15 May, our crews will begin early works to demolish segments of the pedestrian footpath along Dynon Road Bridge, ahead of further major works happening from June. This work will happen nightly from Monday 15 May to Tuesday 23 May 2023.
Please be aware that these works are separate to the Dynon Road pedestrian footpath closure, which was distributed on Friday 21 April 2023. For more information on this please visit our Big Build Disruptions website.
If the weather is poor, or there are any unexpected events, we may need to reschedule these works.
