Building a direct link to Dynon Road, Flinders Street and the new Wurundjeri Way Extension
Works are continuing around Moonee Ponds Creek (MPC) to allow for the construction of a new bridge as part of the West Gate Tunnel Project. The new, dedicated bridge will improve connections to the West and provide a direct link to Dynon Road, Flinders Street and the new Wurundjeri Way Extension.
What to expect and when
To facilitate these works, a section of the MPC trail between Footscray Road and Dynon Road will need to be fully closed from 7am to 5pm on Friday 18 November 2022, and from 7am to 5pm on Monday 21 November 2022. *Works may continue on Tuesday 22 November 2022 due to poor weather delays.
Pedestrians and cyclists are advised to follow the detour map provided within the notification in order to safely continue their journey both north and south of the MPC trail.
