Building the new dedicated bridge with a direct link to Dynon Rd, Flinders Street and the new Wurundjeri Way extension

Works are continuing around Moonee Ponds Creek (MPC) to allow for the construction of a new bridge as part of the West Gate Tunnel Project. The new, dedicated bridge will improve connections to the West and provide a direct link to Dynon Road, Flinders Street and the new Wurundjeri Way Extension.

What to expect and when

To facilitate these works, a section of the MPC trail between Footscray Road and Dynon Road will need to be fully closed from 7am Friday 31 March to 7am Saturday 1 April 2023 and 7am Friday 14 April to 7am Saturday 15 April 2023. Pedestrians and cyclists are advised to follow the detour map provided in order to safely continue their journey both north and south of the MPC trail.
