Celebrating new-look Boronia Station

Locals gathered on the weekend to celebrate Boronia Station’s transformation, with modern new station forecourts and more open spaces for the community to enjoy.

More than 200 locals attended Saturday’s community event at the station, enjoying food and family-friendly activities, including a barbecue, face painting, roving circus entertainment, live music, mini golf and a photobooth.

The Boronia Station Upgrade and the new community plaza were completed in late September, following months of work to make the station precinct more modern and accessible, with new open spaces.

Earlier this month, about 35 students from Dillbadin Primary School planted 40 plants in the new pocket park, located near the shopping centre and featuring seating and a nature play area.

The students decorated bamboo plant tags to add some colour to the pocket park for the event, encouraged to draw who they thought would visit their plant as it grows.

Crews will remain in the area until mid-November, when the site office will be removed.
