The Calder Park Drive level crossing removal team spent a day helping clean up the Organ Pipes National Park.
More than 25 volunteers gave back to the community by collecting and removing rubbish from the park.
The team also helped the Friends of Organ Pipes volunteer group with weed management including pruning and targeted removal of invasive species. Removing the weeds gives native species a chance to grow and allows native animals the chance to develop.
The Friends of Organ Pipes group has existed for more than 50 years and is filled with volunteers who give up their free time to help maintain the national park.
Located 1.7km from the Calder Park Drive level crossing, the park features columns that resemble organ pipes, formed more than a million years ago.
The Calder Park Drive level crossing is being removed via a new road bridge and will be gone for good in 2025.
