Alert today, alive tomorrow - Safety sessions with the project team

Back to Newsfeed

The Hall Road Upgrade and Western Port Highway upgrade project teams recently visited several local primary schools around their project areas to deliver a presentation on road safety.

Over 1000 Prep to Grade 2 students from Barton Primary School, Banyan Fields Primary School, Rowellyn Park Primary School and Skye Primary School participated in the sessions.

Aimed at building road safety awareness amongst local children during construction, the project team taught students about the safety gear we use on site and the different road signs they might see while construction works are ongoing. Students loved the interactive presentation and games and we loved seeing them get involved!

The Hall Road upgrade is gearing up to start major works in mid-2022, while the Western Port Highway upgrade is preparing to kick off its final phase of works to deliver upgraded traffic signal intersections.
