A Melbourne train enthusiast has won a free site tour of Arden Station after becoming the 250,000th visitor to Metro Tunnel HQ.
Aiden Blythman was the lucky person to bring up the milestone, helping the award-winning information centre mark its busiest year on record since opening nearly 5 years ago. Blythman is a frequent visitor to HQ, where he enjoys learning about the progress on our city-shaping project.
In 2022, HQ welcomed 90,638 people, ranging from primary school children to retirees – all keen to learn about one of the biggest and most important rail projects in Victoria’s history.
HQ features a 3D city model, interactive displays, virtual reality, panoramic theatrette, kids’ activities and giveaways – with free entry all year round.
You can also find out about other transport infrastructure projects, including Melbourne Airport Rail, Geelong Fast Rail, Suburban Rail Loop and Regional Rail Revival.
You can visit Metro Tunnel HQ at 125-133 Swanston Street, across the road from the Melbourne Town Hall.
Free sessions at HQ can be booked by community groups and schools wanting to learn more about our projects.
