To help get ready for major construction on the North East Link Tunnels, we asked people for feedback on the look and feel of the design for their local area.
The Urban Design and Landscape Plan exhibited from 11 to 31 May 2022 included designs for new parklands, wetlands, walking and cycling paths, improvements to local roads as well as Eastern Freeway upgrades in Bulleen and Balwyn North.
Thank you to everyone who took an interest and got involved, including everyone who made a submission.
We’re now finalising the plan before submitting it to the Minister for Planning for approval, and will share a summary of how submissions were considered ahead of major tunnelling construction later this year.
Urban Design and Landscape Plans for the other big pieces of the North East Link Program, including the Ring Road Completion, Eastern Freeway Upgrades from Hoddle Street to Springvale Road, and Eastern Express Busway will be developed and exhibited for public comment as we progressively bring builders on board from 2023.
