We’re calling on locals to join one of our two North East Link Community Liaison Groups, with each group representing the northern and southern parts of the project area.
With construction ramping up in preparation for major tunnelling, the groups play an important role in sharing knowledge and insights and keep the local community informed through key stages of the project.
As part of the Community Liaison Groups, representatives from a range of backgrounds and community groups, including residents, sports clubs, schools, environmental advocates, disability representatives and council representatives meet regularly to discuss the project.
Current members have made up the existing groups for the past two years, with new members invited as the program moves into major construction of the North East Link Tunnels. Existing members are welcome to reapply.
The Community Liaison Groups meet to discuss ways to minimise project impacts during construction and come together to share ideas on urban design, sustainability, the environment, and to look for opportunities to improve their local area.
Members from local community groups, residents, environmental groups and local sporting clubs are encouraged to apply.
Applications are open until 5pm, Friday 20 January 2023.
