As part of major upgrades to Bulleen Park, we'll close Bulleen Park’s 3 sports ovals to sporting activities from April 2026 to allow the upgrades to be fast-tracked.
After close consultation with Bulleen Park users and Manningham Council, the project will deliver construction in a shorter timeframe with all 3 ovals closed, ensuring the upgrades are completed in early 2027, more than a year ahead of schedule.
The temporary closure of the 3 ovals will:
- deliver the upgrades sooner, with completion now expected in early 2027
- allow clubs and players to play and train away from a live construction site
- allow workers to complete construction more efficiently to meet the shorter deadline.
We have worked with Manningham Council to identify suitable alternative training and match venues for clubs and associations during this period.
Once the upgraded facilities are ready and safe for use in early 2027, the park will be handed back to Manningham Council for the community to enjoy.
