First glimpse of new Raywood Station

Concept designs for the new Raywood Station have been released, providing a glimpse of how it will look once it begins operating.

Raywood Station will feature a single-sided platform, seating and shelter, bike hoops, and a car park with CCTV and lighting.

In recent weeks, construction of the new station located on Inglewood Street, north of the Inglewood Street level crossing, gained momentum while trains were not running on the line.

Track works took place, with 340m of new concrete sleepers and ballast installed, while crews also completed excavations, built concrete footings and placed pre-cast segments to begin construction of the station’s 180m-long platform.

Electrical and communications works will take place in the coming weeks.

Raywood Station is one of three Victorian Government-funded stations being delivered as part of Bendigo Metro 3, giving people in growing communities access to trains close to where they live.

Works have also been progressing on the new Huntly Station, which is on the Echuca Line and is targeted for delivery by mid-2022.

The new Goornong Station, also on the Echuca Line, opened in December.
