The Bendigo and Echuca Line Upgrade will transform the way people move around the region.

The project will deliver a modernised electronic train order (ETO) system from Bendigo to Swan Hill and Echuca, which will enable additional weekday return services to Epsom and Eaglehawk.

Ten level crossings between Eaglehawk and Bendigo will also be upgraded with better train detection technology, boosting safety and allowing more services to run in this section.

Track upgrades will increase the maximum train speed on the Echuca Line.

The project will also deliver Bendigo Metro 3, with new stations at Goornong, Huntly and Raywood to give people in these growing communities access to train services close to where they live.
