We are delivering new stations at Goornong, Huntly and Raywood to give people in these growing communities access to public transport close to where they live.

Project overview

The new stations will be delivered as part of the Bendigo and Echuca Line Upgrade.

Each new station will include:

  • single-sided platform
  • lighting, seating and shelter
  • signage, CCTV, and public address (PA) system
  • car parking with lighting and CCTV.

Community feedback

During 2020 we sought feedback from the community to understand what is important to residents and future passengers in relation to the new stations.

The feedback received is being considered in the planning and design of the Bendigo and Echuca Line Upgrade.

Next steps

Construction is underway of the new stations at Goornong and Huntly.

Critical works including building platform foundations and footings, earthworks, utility relocations and construction of the new car park at Goornong will take place while trains aren’t running on the Echuca Line during September and October.

The new station at Goornong is targeted for completion by the end of the year, with Huntly to follow in mid-2022 and Raywood Station on the Swan Hill Line at the end of 2022.
