Epping Road Upgrade shopping promo benefits schools, kinders and local business

Back to Newsfeed

Shoppers can support local businesses and their favourite schools and kindergartens at the same time thanks to an initiative of the Epping Road Upgrade.

The project’s Shop to the Top promotion will make local shopping even more rewarding by turning everyday purchases into real support for schools and kinder.

From Saturday 23 August, every dollar spent at participating local businesses in Epping North Shopping Centre will earn customers points to allocate to a participating school or kinder of their choice.

At the end of the 8 week campaign, the schools and kinders with the most points will share in $16,000 worth of funding to improve resources, programs or facilities.

Each dollar spent at the participating retailers on Lyndarum Drive will earn 1 point toward shoppers’ chosen school or kindergarten.

To enter, shoppers can collect their receipt then scan an in-store QR code to fill in a short online entry form, including the nominated school or kinder. Alternatively, shoppers can write the name of the school or kinder on the back of their receipt and drop it into the Epping North Shopping Centre’s Shop to the Top entry box.

Plenty of parking remains available to access the Epping North shopping precinct via Northfields, Mansfield, and Kyabram streets as well as along Lyndarum Drive.

A full list of the participating schools and traders is available at Shop to the Top, along with terms and conditions.

Shoppers will be able to track progress of the competition on the website and a leaderboard at Epping North Shopping Centre.  Details of the winning schools and their shares of the $16,000 to be spent for educational purposes will be announced after the competition closes.

Shop to the Top comes as the upgrade team undertakes major works to improve Epping Road’s intersection at Lyndarum Drive. This is the project’s 6th and final intersection upgrade on the west side of Epping Road.

With major works due for completion in late 2025, the upgrade will provide safer, more-reliable journeys for the 35,000 drivers who use Epping Road daily in Melbourne’s north.
